I'm Stacey Beth Greene, and I'll be honest with you: I spent a lot of years lost before I found my way. Addiction had a hold on me that nobody else could loosen, no matter how much they wanted to. I had to reach my own understanding to get free, and I found that through my faith in Jesus. That belief, that you can't force recovery on anyone, including yourself, is the heart of everything I write and talk about now.

My first marriage, to Bill Greene, gave me three of my children. Today I'm married to Robert, and between us we have five kids and, as of recently, grandchildren too, which has taught me things about grace and amends I never expected to learn at this stage of life. I've lost both of my parents recently, and grief and gratitude have had to learn to sit in the same room together. My family has watched me rebuild through faith, and that means more to me than almost anything.

I write because it's how I process what I've lived through. My books, Layers and A Journey Towards Myself, and my podcast, Real Talk with SBG, all come from that same place: no polish, no pretending, just what's true. I'm also pursuing a degree in religious education because I never want to stop learning.

If you're in the middle of your own hard season, start with a book or an episode. And if you'd like me to come speak to your community, I'd be honored.

Praying with you

If you're carrying something heavy right now, I'd love to pray over it with you. This isn't something I take lightly. Send me your prayer request, and know that it won't just sit in an inbox somewhere. You don't have to carry it alone.
